Hi, I’m Marie Delprat,
I’m a musician and performer working at the intersection of sound and performance, with a focus on the dialogue between digital and analog media. Classically trained, I studied the recorder and early music at the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles before continuing my studies at the Bern University of the Arts (HKB). After years of working within ‘structured musical systems’, my practice shifted toward improvisation, composition, and performance. Central to my work is the exploration of a staged persona that I invent and testsin direct dialogue with the audience. This hybrid and symbolic figure allows me to address questions of identity, gender, alterity, and belonging, while navigating an aesthetic space between contemporary electronic music and early music traditions.
